Description
16" (41 cm.) Pink tinted bisque socket head, small blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, incised eyeliner, feathered brows over shaded undercoat, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pouty expression, accent line between the downcast, shaded lips, brunette human hair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 6969 Germany 4 (head). Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1915. Value Points: in pristine condition, the pouty faced girl is wearing her factory-original rose sateen cotton dress with wide bretelles and matching bonnet, leather shoes, undergarments. The doll is featured in the book, The Rose Unfolds, by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick, page 131.
