Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate. French composition and wooden jointed body, bisque lower arms and hands, antique Brittany folklore costume including wooden clogs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 3 G. (block letters). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1884. Value Points: early block letter model with dramatic large eyes, rare original body which incorporates the bisque hands of the earlier kid body.
