22" (56 cm.) Composition swivel head on composition shoulderplate, dark brown complexion, brown glass flirty eyes, accented brows, upturned nose, closed mouth in fretful expression, black mohair wig in braids, firmly-stuffed cloth body, brown composition limbs, wearing cotton print dress with matching pantalets, wide ruffled bonnet, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: American, circa 1920, attributed to Mrs. P.D. (Edwina) Smith of California, the dolls were made for a short period only, distributed by George C. Salch Co. of San Francisco. Value Points: the wonderfully-modeled doll has flawless complexion, most endearing expression, flirty eyes, original body and costume, and is very rarely found.
