Description
16" (41 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde brushstroked painted hair with modeled definition of forelock curl at center forehead, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, short feathered brows, rounded nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth modeled as though open with pale outlined lips, impressed dimples at lip corners and cheeks, composition bent limb baby body, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, arms repainted. Marks: JDK made in Germany 12. Comments: Kestner, circa 1912. Value Points: among the rarest of the Kestner character models as few examples of the very beautiful dolls are known to exist.
