Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with matte-finish black complexion, black glass sleep eyes, painted black brows with decorative glaze, distinctive pointy tip nose, open mouth with four teeth, black mohair wig, composition and wooden black ball-jointed body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 34.28. Comments: Gebruder Kuhnlenz, circa 1890. Value Points: very fine flawless complexion enhances the expressive features. The doll is featured in the book, The Rose Unfolds, by Rosalie Whyel and Susan Hedrick, page 201.
