Description
12 1/2" (32 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate with modeled bosom and shoulderblades, brown glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over cork pate, French kid body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, one-piece curved kid upper arms, bisque lower arms and hands. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 (and circle/dot symbol on head) Bebe Brevete SGDG...(original label on torso). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1880. Value Points: pristine condition of the early period Bru bebe, with beautiful face, sturdiest original labeled body, perfect bisque hands, and with three early dresses, woven lace, socks and leather shoes.
