16" (41 cm.) Each is firmly-stuffed all-felt caricature figure of Mr. or Mrs. Fox with applique facial features, he designed as though licking his chops, and she with shy expression, wire armature felt-covered bodies allowing standing pose. Condition: generally excellent, somewhat dusty, few moth holes. Marks: Made in Italy, Creazioni Cresla Firenze (paper tag). Comments: Cresla, circa 1930s, the firm specialized in amusing caricature figures inspired by popular culture icons of its era. Value Points: the Fox family pair are wearing their original felt and cotton costumes, each with long swishy-fringe felt tail, she with parasol, he with hunting trophy. Few examples of the Cresla production can be found.
