Description
14" (36 cm.) h. 11"l. Standing upon a wooden wheeled platform with decorative paper covers are two bisque dolls, arranged as though parade style, each with bisque head, glass eyes, wooden block torso, wire upper arms and carved wooden hands; including light brown-complexioned man with wide beaming smile, fancy costume and top hat holding a guitar, and white-face clown with facial decorations, in jester costume and cap, holding bells. When pulled along, their heads turn merrily side-to-side and they move their arms to play guitar or ring bells. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: rare model from that firm with delightful and merry activity.
