Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading and dark iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, light brown mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees, and elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, attributed to Jumeau, circa 1870. Value Points: with beautiful face, the poupee is wearing original silk ensemble of coral and pink, carrying bone-handled fringed parasol, and owns her original trunk with paper label of Mon. Censier, along with an extensive trousseau of gowns, undergarments, bonnets and accessories.
