Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented nostrils, open mouth, accented lips, four porcelain teeth, tongue, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, nicely costumed in antique style. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: B Made in Germany 171. Comments: Kestner, circa 1911, the 171 model doll was offered by Ladies Home Journal in 1911 as a premium for ordering a subscription to the magazine. Value Points: rare little doll with beautiful bisque, painting, and original wig; two magazine paper dolls of Daisy included.
