Description
16" (41 cm.) Honey-toned poured wax shoulderhead of adult woman with slender face, elongated throat, modeled bosom, on padded and cloth wrapped armature form with attached cast metal stand, wax hands, stiffened auburn mohair wig. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1915, from an exhibition of dolls created and presented to illustrate the splendor and artistry of French couture. Value Points: the doll is wearing her original attached multi-tiered gown with ribbon and black lace trim, ruffled lace collar which matches the inner ruffle of green silk bonnet, black fur muff.
