18" (46 cm.) x 16" frame. 2 1/2"-5" diam. candy boxes. Set on velvet fabric background within a glass-fronted gilt wooden frame are three mid-1800s candy boxes, each with hand-tinted engraving of nature scene featuring lady or trainer with bird. The workmanship is exquisite and the boxes are beautifully preserved. French, mid-1800s.
