All-cloth doll with stiffened oil-painted rich brown complexion, facial features, brown outlined eyes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, painted black hair in soft curls, muslin body, brown-complexioned oil-painted arms and legs, painted yellow ankle boots with black painted details, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Ella Smith of Alabama, whose cottage industry created the "Alabama Baby", circa 1910. Value Points: charming petite size with perfectly-preserved rare brown complexion and yellow boots.
