10" (25 cm.) (excluding ears). The firmly-stuffed rabbit of shaded cream/brown velvet is posed standing, with arms held in front in beseeching manner, stitched-on ears and tail, black shoe-button eyes over red felt unders, embroidered nose and mouth, and wearing blue felt jacket with yellow accent stitching and tiny metal buttons, red felt slippers with tan soles. Very good condition, one ear re-attached, few small moth holes. The bunny has original early Steiff button in ear with underscored F. Germany, Steiff, Peter Rabbit was inspired by Beatrix Potter 1902 book; Steiff's model was introduced shortly thereafter for the English market and is quite rare to find.
