11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque head with sculpted light blonde boyish hair, intaglio side- glancing blue eyes with white eye dots, black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, lips nearly closed with tiny "whistling" hole in center, muslin body with bellows in torso to create whistle, composition arms, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent, whistle bellows needs repair. Marks: 3774 Heubach Germany 2. Comments: Gebruder Heubach,circa 1910, the doll was marketed as "Whistling Jim". Value Points: appealing character whose side-glancing flirtatious whistling expression matches his name.
