All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted complexion and facial features, outlined brown eyes, fringed thick lashes and brows, accented nostrils of upturned nose, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, sewn-on ears, impressed cheek dimples, original brunette stitched-on yarn wig, stitch-jointed arms and legs, painted blue ankle boots, antique cotton dress, pinafore, blue sunbonnet, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (Ella Smith stamp on body). Comments: Ella Smith’s Alabama Baby, circa 1910. Value Points: the wigged example is rarely found, this example with original stitched-on yarn hair, wonderful facial painting with rare brown eyes.
