16" (41 cm.) All-carved wood, socket head with very full cheeks, carved boyish short hair in tousled fashion with defined forelock curls, intaglio deeply-carved blue eyes, painted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with downcast pouting lips, all-wooden spring-jointed body, antique costume. Condition: original finish is worn and scuffed. Marks: Schoenhut Doll Pat. Jan.17, '11 USA & Foreign Countries (impressed). Comments: Schoenhut, model 201, the early model was made for a few years only, circa 1911. Value Points: rare model with well-detailed carving especially of crinkles around the eyes and mouth, original Schoenhut shoes and carrying tin lithographed lunch pail.
