Description
Of crisp rose silk the gown features a dart-shaped bodice with self-piping at the neckline and a vertical band of stitched-down pleats, with wide box pleats all-around the skirt terminating in an attached band of scalloped edge ruffle pleats. The gown features delicate black lace trim at the front throat, edging the detachable waist sash, edging the box-pleated cuffs and around the hem. There is a detachable lace-edged bow with streamers at the back waist, and a separate matching silk wrap with lavish black lace trim. For 21" lady doll. 17" overall length. 4 1/2" shoulder width. Excellent condition. Circa 1870.
