15" (38 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with upturned lip corners in smiling expression. pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, kid gusset-jointed poupee body, wearing antique gentleman's formal wear suit. Condition: bisque excellent, body not original. Marks: D (head) F (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, his depose smiling poupee, circa 1872. Value Points: sought after poupee with very choice bisque, expression, painting of features.
