Description
8" (20 cm.) Blonde wig with red ribbon-tied braids and curly bangs, real lashes, bendable-knee walking-style body, wearing tagged red taffeta school dress with matching panties, white pinafore with drawn-ribbon sewn-on sash, tucks and lace, socks, red suede-like side-snap shoes, woven white bonnet with wide brim and a cluster of flowers. Near mint condition. Alexander, model #368, 1957, the company's catalog of that year noted of this doll that "Wendy has many school frocks to choose from...and hopes the boys won't pull her pigtails", indicating that the costume was made with many fabric variations (see #298 this catalog), but always with braids.
