15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, short feathered brows, accented nostrils, rounded nose, closed mouth with pert smile, impressed dimples at lip corners and cheeks, blonde mohair wig with side-coiled braids over plaster pate, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique dress with rose silk ribbons, undergarments, leather shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 189 (head) Germany (body). Made for G.A. Schwarz Philadelphia made in Germany (paper label on torso). Comments: Kestner, circa 1910, the doll was presented in the turn-of-the-century Philadelphia toy store of G.A. Schwarz. Value Points: pristine state of the pretty dimpled girl, with original wig, pate, body, body finish, store label.
