17" (43 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted short boyish hair, defined forelock curls, modeled stuck-out ears, deeply-intaglio sculpted blue eyes with pronounced large black pupils, white eye dots, red and incised eyeliner, very rounded nose with accent dots, closed mouth, very full lips with center accent line that extends into lip dimples, full cheeks and double chin, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8035 Heubach (in square) Germany. Comments: Gebruder Heubach, circa 1912. Value Points: superb modeling details on the rare character, with deeply-defined sculpting especially around the eyes and mouth, wonderfully-modeled ears and nose, original body and factory-original costume comprising red felt vest with gold buttons, shirt, tie, linen pants, stockings and shoes.
