25" (64 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig, German composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 15 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: very fine quality of bisque on the sought-after closed mouth doll, wearing lovely antique costume and ruffled bonnet.
