21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, very plump cheeks, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, Gesland padded stockinette body over metal armature allowing infinite articulation, composition lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 8 G (block letter markings on head and shoulders) Gesland (label on torso). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1884. Value Points: dainty bebe with lovely expression, rare and original body, wearing original aqua silk dress, undergarments, stockings, shoes and woven bonnet.
