Description
14" (36 cm.) Porcelain two-piece figure depicts woman holding watering can, her face finely executed with heavily-lidded downcast eyes, and with rich cheek blush and fine feathering around edges of her face, overcast by a bonnet with gild-edged streamers. The figure is designed with opening at back for warming element, open top of bonnet for water infusion, and holes in spigot of sprinkling can for pouring of tea. Excellent condition. French, circa 1850.
