Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, amber brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, auburn mohair wig, Sonneberg composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 9. Comments: Sonneberg, circa 1880, made to compete with the French doll market, the doll closely resembles the "circle-dot" model of Bru. Value Points: lovely doll with appealing rich blushing.
