Description
19" (48 cm.) h. x 10 1/2". 5 1/2" dolls. Standing at a wooden platform with lithographed paper cover of holly leaves are six bisque dolls with blue glass eyes and open mouth, long blonde mohair wig, original body with wooden limbs, and each wearing original costume of young boy or girl. Holding hands, the dolls are gathered around a holiday feather tree with decorations, and when wound, the dolls twirl around the revolving tree, while music plays. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Zinner and Sohne, circa 1890. Value Points: enchanting presentation and motion, the toy is perfectly preserved and all-original.
