Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight eyes, painted features, rose-blushed eye shadow, closed mouth, outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, French composition fully-jointed body, wearing pretty ensemble featuring black lace-trimmed dress with rose satin hip sash, black taffeta bonnet with pink flowers, black knit stockings, black shoes, little purse, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 5 (head) Steiner Medaille d'Or 1880 (paper label with illustration of little doll). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: wonderful petite size of the dainty shy-faced child with beautiful bisque and expression, original body and body finish.
