Florence's Take

After going to press I started to question myself on just how rare the painted orange stockings are. Well, more rare than I thought. Scanning our decades-long files I only found four other examples. I'm sure I missed a few, but still more rare than I first thought. Don't you wish we could know more about this? Were they a special commission or made for a special costume? Always more to learn!
