Description
17" (43 cm.) The solid cast bisque figurines depict a young girl and boy with very elaborately detailed costumes and accessories, each mounted upon an attached bisque plinth, of which hers is gilt lettered J.E. to G.A., and his is lettered "Paris 1867", which was the year of the Paris International Exposition. Each has a beloved animal at its side to which tender gazes are cast, and both the sculpting and painting of faces and costumes are extraordinary. French, circa 1867.
