Description
21" (53 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead of lady, sculpted brown hair with arranged poufs of curls at sides and back of head and clusters of tiny curls at each side of forehead, with decorative pink hair bow, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, pierced ears, sculpted decoration of shoulderplate includes Dresden ruffles and gilt-edged beading, with painted blue edging, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms, nicely costumed in antique gown. Condition: generally excellent, slight restoration at hair bow. Comments: Germany, attributed to C.F. Kling, circa 1870. Value Points: rarity factors include brown hair, pierced ears, glass eyes and very fancily decorated bodice.
