14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue paperweight inset eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with upturned lip corners in gentle smile, pierced ears, brunette human hair coiffure in elaborate coiffure, cork pate, French kid poupee body with square-cut collarette, gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Mark: C (head and shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru, circa 1872, the model was deposed by Bru in that year. Value Points: exceptionally fine state of preservation with exquisite bisque modeling and painting, fine antique costume.
