19" (48 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, defined space between outlined shaded lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 7/ E.J. Comments: Emile Jumeau, earliest period of the firm's first signature doll, circa 1882. Value Points: lovely brown-eyed bebe, original body and body finish, lovely rose silk dress with lace and velvet ribbon trim, woven rose bonnet, undergarments, leather shoes singed C.M.
