18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, delicate complexion, cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and brows, closed mouth with upturned lip corners and delicately-accented lips, ears pierced into head, auburn mohair wig in elaborate coiffure, kid poupee shapely body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head and shoulders). Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: very beautiful delicate bisque is contrasted by vivid cobalt eyes and charming painting of lips, sturdy body, fine antique costume.
