Description
Including 8" Mary with polychromed carved wooden shoulderhead, brown sculpted hair in loose coil with tendril curls; 10" Joseph with polychromed terra cotta head, grey hair, beard and moustache, enamel eyes; 2 " baby Jesus in wooden crib. Each of the larger figures has tow-wrapped posable armature body with carved wooden lower arms and legs. Condition: very good overall condition. Comments: Neapolitan, late 1700s. Value Points: rare to find complete set, each with excellent sculpting detail.
