Description
11 1/2" (29 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass spiral-threaded eyes with darker iris rims, dark eyeliner painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1875, attributed to Jumeau. Value Points: rare petite size poupee with dainty face and painting is impeccably preserved, wearing antique costume, undergarments, bonnet, shoes and socks, and presented in early domed trunk with lift-out tray, and an assortment of costumes including three additional dresses and a bounty of undergarments and accessories.
