10" (25 cm.) One-piece figure of woman gathering flowers is posed standing upon self-base with painted ground cover and sculpted colorful flowers; she is posed glancing to the side with brown painted eyes, blushed complexion, brown hair captured under a white ruffled cap decorated with sculpted flowers and an opening at the top for placement of fresh flowers, wearing brightly painted costume including apron which is holding armloads of flowers she presumably plucked. The figure is signed JP in blue letters on the underside. Excellent condition, few tiny flakes at flower edges. French, Jacob Petit, circa 1850.
