Description
16" (41 cm.) Porcelain shoulderhead with very plump facial shape, painted blue downcast eyes with shaded iris coloring, black upper eyeliner, painted all-around lashes, arched brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely torso, kid-over-wooden upper arms, porcelain arms to above the elbows, curled fingers, unusual side-hip jointing of thighs, kid-over-wooden lower thighs and upper calves allowing articulation. Condition: generally excellent, four fingertips restored on left hand. Comments: French, circa 1858, Leontine Rohmer. Value Points: very beautiful face on the early poupee, rare body style.

I won't stop saying it, the fashions from Rohmer are the absolute sleeper of the decade in providing a similar look and aspect of Huret at a fraction of the price. Get them now before everyone realizes the opportunity.
