19" (48 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with highly defined sculpting of facial features, intaglio painted blue eyes with large black upper-glancing pupils and white eye dots, outlined eyes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, all-wooden spring jointed body, antique costume in the Schoenhut manner. Condition: generally excellent, tiny nose rub. Marks: (incised Schoenhut mark). Comments: Schoenhut, their model 308, circa 1915. Value Points: outstanding quality of sculpting on the rare large version of 308 with well-preserved original painting.
