9" (23 cm.) doll. 11" x 6" x 5 1/2" box. Standing upon a wooden box with decoupage accents of children dancing and a turn handle at the side which activate the simple musical mechanism within, is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, wooden limbs, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1880, when handle is turned, merry music plays and the doll twirls around and around. Value Points: the charming toy is accented by the especially beautiful face of the doll, and functions well.
