5" (13 cm.) One-piece bisque head and torso, tiny brown glass eyes, painted long curly lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth in wide beaming smile, impressed dimples at sides of mouth, row of painted teeth, brunette human hair wig, loop-jointed bisque arms and legs, pointing finger on right hand, painted above-the-knee white stockings, black one-strap shoes, nicely costumed. Marks: JIO c. 1919. Comments: Germany, from original design copyrighted by the American artist Jeanne Orsini, c. 1919. Value Points: exquisite character detail on the tiny doll.
