18" (46 cm.) Solid domed paper mache shoulderhead, oval face, small black glass inset eyes, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils, blushed cheeks, closed mouth with center accent line, brunette wig arranged with coiled braids around each ear and topknot, kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset-jointing at hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1849. Value Points: fine original finish, wearing lovely early transfer print cotton gown with gigot sleeves and fitted waist.
