Description
15" (38 cm.) Bisque socket head with highly-detailed sculpting of pouting child, blue glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with impressed frown wrinkles around the puckered lips, blonde mohair bobbed wig, French composition and wooden fully-jointed toddler body, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: SFBJ 252 Paris 6. Comments: SFBJ, circa 1912. Value Points: excellent detail of fretful crinkles around the eyes and mouth, fine lustrous patina, original body and body finish.
