28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with rounded plump face, large blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes with dot highlights, lightly feathered brows, rose blushed eye shadow, shaded nostrils, pierced ears, closed mouth with outlined lips, impressed chin dimple at philtrum, brunette mohair wig, cork pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 6 (incised). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1880. Value Points: lovely early period rare bebe, with finest quality of bisque, complexion and painting, original body and body finish, and original costume.
