Description
13" (33 cm.) Bisque flanged head with sculpted striped colorful cap over sculpted short hair, forelock curls onto forehead, movable blue googly "living eyes", painted curly upper lashes, little pug nose, closed mouth with smiling lips, dimpled cheeks, muslin body with disc jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 954649 Germany. Comments: Herm Steiner with registered system of floating iris allowing for a so-called real living eye movement, circa 1926. Value Points: very rare model of the living eye googly has unique and colorful boy's cap, worn sideways, and complementary smiling expression.
