16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body, lovely antique costume and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bru Jne 5. Comments: Maison Bru, circa 1890, the body was introduced at the beginning of the Girard epoch. Value Points: most charming piquant expression with excellent painting of complexion and features, original body and body finish.
