Description
17" (43 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, painted lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, kid poupee body with gusset jointing at hips, knees and elbows, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1865, the lady has deluxe neck articulation first deposed by Dehors that allows her to tilt her head side-to-side or forward, rather than simply swivel. Value Points: beautiful lady doll with sturdy body, lovely silk costume, extra neck articulation.
