Description
17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and chin, small blue glass sleep eyes, fringed upper lashes, one-stroke brows, rounded nose, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined and shaded lips, blonde mohair bobbed wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, one finger tip missing. Marks: 1428 Germany 6. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1915. Value Points: especially fine modeling around the eyes with laughter crinkles, fine quality of bisque and painting, original toddler body with original finish.
