13" (33 cm.) Light brown felt with over-sized head, pressed facial features, inset narrow glass-like brown eyes hidden by long curly felt lashes, S-shaped black felt brows, tiny button nose, closed mouth with felt applique lips, one-piece body with curved arms, hoove-shaped feet, tail, large ears, and felt "hair" overall back of head, down his back and sides of legs, and holding a wooden staff sprinkled with flowers and a wooden Pan flute. Condition: excellent. Marks: Lenci (brown cloth tag). Comments: Lenci, 1940s, the figure represents the mythological god Pan who ruled Arcadia, playing his distinctive pan pipes and chasing Nymphs. Value Points: perfectly-preserved and imaginatively-designed character.
