All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and rich brown complexion, darkest brown eyes, black fringe-painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with full lips, sculpted ears, black fleecy wig, stitch-jointed body with bare feet, brown sateen torso cover, well costumed in antique dress, apron, bandanna, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent, some wear to body. Marks: "The Chase Stockinet Doll" (original paper label on torso). Comments: Martha Chase, Rhode Island, circa 1900. Value Points: rare model with distinctively modeled features, beautiful original complexion and painting, rare larger size and original paper label.
